What is Content Writing?

In simple terms, Content Writing is the combination of words you use to express your thoughts, convey your ideas, build your business and brand, etc.

Everything is content, from one-line quotes to blog posts to advertising campaigns.

Content can be used for both online and offline purposes. Additionally, Content can either be in the form of simple text, photo, audio or video.

If we talk about the general purpose of Content Writing – it is to capture the reader’s attention, keep them engaged with your content and make them want more of what you have to offer to them.

With the changing needs and requirements of the industry, content writing has grown tremendously in the past few years.

Technical Writing is mainly concerned with facts, data and statistical information while writing on any specific subject. It includes explaining the complex technicalities of the topic in a simplified manner to their target audience.

Technical writers must have sufficient knowledge about the subject matter. It requires the writer to do extensive research beforehand. Furthermore, technical writing is not written for a general audience, but for a specific target audience who has an interest in the subject.

Some of the examples of technical writing include writing analysis of any report, instructions book or user manuals, etc.

3. Social Media Content Writing

Digital world is growing rapidly. Major Social Media platforms have an enormous number of users that businesses are trying to reach.

People want to know what goes on behind the scenes; they want to know about your brand; they want to understand everything about your business. Social Media gives you this opportunity to connect and engage with your audience. Social Media helps you to build credibility amongst existing and prospective customers.

SEO writing includes using the right keywords and phrases in your content so that it ranks better in search engine results. Using the right keywords requires the SEO Writer to do thorough keyword research about the topic beforehand.
